A couple of weeks ago the Cyclone Winston Charity Breakfast was held in a number of Australian cities in conjunction with Tourism Fiji, Fiji Airways and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Members of the Australian travel industry attended to be updated on Fiji's recovery from Cyclone Winston and in a bid to raise much-needed funds to support the Fijian families affected by Cyclone Winston.

The turnout from the Australian travel industry was strong and thousands of dollars were raised for local Fijian families through auctions of Fiji resort stays, airfares and holiday packages all generously donated by some of the country's most recognised travel brands. Although their industry needs a little help right now, Tourism Fiji assured agents it's #BulaAsUsual in the tourist belt of Fiji.

As part of a quick-thinking campaign from Tourism Fiji, the Fijian tourism body created #FijiNow as a way to showcase the fact that many of Fiji's main tourist hot spots were unaffected and were as beautiful as always. The hashtag encourages travellers who are currently in Fiji to share their holiday snaps, showing that Fiji is still well and truly open for business.

Right now in Fiji the sun is shining, the water's warm and it's big Fijian smiles and BULA as usual! The weather is wonderful, with temperatures averaging a pleasant 29 degrees, perfect weather for a dip in the pool.

Check out #FijiNow to see just how beautiful Fiji is back in business.

As part of push to get visitors returning to Fiji's shores, Fiji Airways is offering travellers in Australia and New Zealand one-way flights to Fiji from just AUD$199! With astonishing sale fares at discounts of over 30% for travel between March and mid-June, there has never been a better time to join the Fijian people in paradise.

If you'd like to help the smiling people of Fiji, the best way to help them get back in their feet is to book a holiday.

Don't forget to share your snaps while you're there with #FijiNow
