Wananavu Beach Resort

Wananavu Beach Resort is situated on a picturesque headland on the most northern point of Fiji's main island, Viti Levu. Wananavu is a small resort offering individual bure accommodation and activities for everyone from diving, fishing, cultural activities, Fijian village tours, snorkeling, kayaking or just relaxing by the pool with a book and cocktail.

Being located on a headland there are magnificent views overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Pacific with spectacular ocean and sunset views. The views from the Restaurant/Bar complex are unparalleled overlooking the nearby islands of Nananu-i-ra, Nananu-i-cake and Yanuca Island. At Wananavu, you have the feel of an Island Paradise, yet you have the convenience of being on the mainland. There are no phones, radios or TVs in the bures, giving you the chance to experience a peaceful slice of paradise.

The trip to Wananavu is an adventure in itself as the drive to the resort allows you to stop and experience the Real Fiji. This drive takes approximately 2 hours from Nadi International Airport with the last four kilometers being on gravel road.

Wananavu Beach Resort has 34 deluxe bures situated on the palm-fringed ocean or amongst the lush tropical gardens. Fiji accommodation bures have beautiful views of the reef and sunset.

Gardenview Bure: Views of the tropical gardens, decorated with pine-lined walls and polished timber floors. Bedding is 1 Queen bed. Maximum room capacity for adults and children is 2.

Oceanview Bure: Views out to the ocean, decorated with pine-lined walls and polished timber floors. Bedding is 1 Queen bed. Maximum room capacity for adults and children is 2.

Beachfront Bure: Views out to the ocean and situated right on the beach, decorated with pine-lined walls and polished timber floors. Bedding is 1 Queen bed. Maximum room capacity for adults and children is 2.

2 Bedroom Gardenview Bure: Views of the tropical garden, the interior feature pine-lined walls and tiled floors. Bedding is 1 Queen bed and 2 single beds. Maximum room capacity for adults and children is 4.

2 Bedroom Beachfront Villa: Views out to the beach. Features 2 ensuite bathrooms, dining table and chairs, lounge chairs and sofa, laundry and small kitchen. Deck has sun loungers and bbq area. Mediterranean feel with white interior. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed in one bedroom and 2 Single beds in the second bedroom. Maximum room capacity for adults and children is 4.

Deluxe Beachfront Honeymoon Bure: Situated right on the beachfront and designed for privacy. Features private sundeck with special deck entrance ideal for private dinners for two and also has outside spiral shower. Bedding is 4 poster king size bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 adults.

Deluxe Oceanview Honeymoon Bure: Situated overlooking the ocean and landscaped for privacy, ensuite bathroom with inside/outside shower featuring views to the ocean. Private sundeck with plunge pool and sunloungers - deck great for private dinners. Bedding is 4 poster king size bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 adults.

Dining

Start your day with Breakfast from the Sunrise Terrace where a wide selection is offered from the Breakfast Menu. Tropical Breakfast from the buffet includes fresh fruits in season, cereal, bakery basket, assorted preserves, hot beverages and a selection of fruit juices. Breakfast is included in the nightly room rate.

The Lunch menu offers mouth-watering dishes which can be served poolside or from the restaurant balcony offering superb ocean views. Daily trips can be arranged to secluded beaches on the nearby islands where you can take a picnic lunch or enjoy a beach BBQ cooked over an open fire.

At Wananavu Beach Resort you can experience a la carte dining featuring International and Local Cuisine including fresh fish and lobster caught from the Bligh Waters directly out from the Resort. A Traditional Fijian Feast, also known as a 'Lovo', is organised once a week subject to guest numbers in house. Food is wrapped in banana leaves, cooked over hot stones and buried underground. When the tasty feast is unearthed, the staff will describe to you the different types of Fijian food and delicacies.

The Sunset Bar is open from 7.30am until the last person leaves. A wide variety of beverages are offered and if you can't find a suitable cocktail, the staff will design one for your using your favourite ingredients. The infectious saying "Sega na leqa" - meaning "No Worries" will no doubt be heard by the staff which describes their easy-going and hospitable nature.

Wananavu Beach Resort provides a perfect location for those couples wanting to exchange their Marital Vows in paradise. Wananavu is popular for Wedding Groups or just the Wedding Couple themselves. Wananavu Beach Resort offers a variety of Wedding Packages, with several venues around the Resort where ceremonies can be celebrated. Two of the most popular locations being around the swimming pool or down on the palm fringed beach. Other venues include being amongst our lush tropical gardens, by the marina under the coconut palms, or on the lawn in front of our beautiful beachfront villas. The ceremony can also be held in our traditional Fijian Bure located on the Sunset Deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Guests can wait until they arrive at the Resort to decide on their Wedding Venue.
