There are 7 rooms available on the island all located close to the beach and surrounded with tropical gardens and coconuts, the rooms are spacious and modern, perfect for a relaxing Fiji island holiday. There are no telephones or TV's in the suites or bures so even more reason to relax and enjoy the beautiful Fijian Islands. The Great Sea Reef is just a boat trip away from the island, the reef is the third largest in the world and ever so popular for divers and those who wish to snorkel.

Beachfront Suite: Located along the shoreline and surrounded by tropical gardens. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children.

Beachfront Bure: Overlooks the beach, each bure is free standing with private rear patio. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.

TopDining

Nukubati is famous for its food. Seafood is Nukubatis speciality, freshly caught off the resort, with tropical fruits and vegetables organically grown on the islands gardens. Cooking style is Fijian, featuring traditional South Pacific recipes using all local ingredients, herbs and spices. However individual dietary requirements, such as vegetarian or no seafood meals are catered for.

All meals, morning and afternoon teas, and beverages (including wines and other alcoholic drinks) are complimentary. Meals can be taken in the Pavilion, on the beach, in your room or at any other romantic spot on the island you wish. Meal times are flexible.

Nukubati has an extensive wine cellar stocking premium Australian and New Zealand wines. There are two bars, one in the Pavilion and the other on the front lawn, and a bar service to all parts of the island!

The Pavilion: The Pavilion is the hub of island life. This is where you can spend long lazy hours, out of the tropical heat, just enjoying the old world atmosphere of Nukubati. It is where people gather to eat, drink, socialise or simply sit and enjoy. There is a dining area where you can eat alone, or share a meal with other guests. The choice is yours.

TopDiving

Scuba is Nukubati's premier activity. Just a half hour boat ride takes you to The Great Sea Reef, the third longest barrier reef in the world. The Great Sea Reef has 74% of the known coral species and 80% of the known coral reef fishes in recorded Fiji. Nukubati is the only resort in Fiji with access to this vast underwater treasure. Remote, pristine and untouched, this enormous reef with miles of hard and soft corals, is being explored by guests of Nukubati Island. Manta rays, turtles, dolphins and whales parade among uncountable numbers of fish life, with a myriad of Nudibranchs, gastropods and crustaceans displaying around the corals.

Nukubati is renowned for first class service and that service extends to our diving. Each couple or dive group have their own boat and dive guide. All dive gear is provided by the resort and is top of the range Apollo brand with both metric and imperial dive computers.

TopWeddings

A wedding at Nukubati is truly an unforgettable experience. Weddings are usually held at sunset on the beach or any one of a number or romantic locations on the island. Two Fijian warriors escort the bride to the groom; you also have the option of being transported by a Fijian wedding raft decorated with flowers. The warriors gently sail you to your waiting groom.

The documentation required for marriages in Fiji are as follows - Original or certified copy of Birth Certificate, Valid Passports, Decree Absolute documents if divorced, Death certificate if spouse died. Consent of the father if under the age of 21 years or mother if father is deceased.

Important information includes the following, weddings are not held on a Sunday, the Registrars office is closed on public holidays and weekends. Nukubati will do their best to accommodate any special request.

Weddings in Paradise: includes Celebrant/Minister, marriage licence and transfers to the Registry Office. Flowers, posy, salusalu (lei), hair garland and decorations. Nukubati Tropical Wedding Cake. Champagne Breakfast. Candle-lit wedding celebration dinner and Kava ceremony.

TopGetting There

There are a few options for getting to Nukubati, the first is flying from Nadi International Airport to Labasa Airport, which is then followed by a 1 hour 4WD transfer overland to Nukubati jetty for a 5 minute speedboat trip to the island. The land transfer is included in the room price.

The second option is to fly from Nadi International Airport to Savusavu with an additional transfer over to Nukubai at an additional cost.

The third option is to charter a sea plane direct from Nadi International Airport to Nukubati Island.
