Musket Cove Island Resort

Musket Cove island Resort Fiji is located on Malolo Lailai in Fiji's Mamanuca group of islands, approximately 17 kilometres from Nadi Airport and offers a wide range of hotel accommodation, self catering villas and beachfront bures.

Overlooking a sheltered lagoon Musket Cove Island Resort is a haven to visiting yachts from around the world. The lagoon also provides the perfect environment to enjoy snorkeling, diving and many other different water sports or perhaps relaxing by the pool at the edge of the lagoon with a cocktail is more your style.

The Fiji accommodation offers 600 tropical acres set amongst tall coconut palm trees on an island fringed by seven kilometres of white sandy beach. Musket Cove Island Resort features many amenities not found on other island resorts including the Musket Cove Yacht Club, Marina and Boat Harbour, supermarket as well as a restaurant, coffee shop, and beach bar. The choice of activities is endless at Musket Cove Island Resort.

Accommodation

Musket Cove Resort features an island style Fiji holiday accommodation of 55 traditional thatched bures and spacious villas set among tall coconut palms, in beautiful landscaped gardens, by the lagoon or on the white sandy beachfront.

Garden Bures: These bures look out towards the the ocean, located directly on a large lawn area. Each bure has a breakfast bar, which contains a toaster, crockery and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Each bure has a king-size bed plus 2 single beds and a large lounge area leading onto a private verandah. Maximum room capacity is 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children 15 years and under.

Lagoon Bures: There are 6 Lagoon Bures all configured with a king-size bed, a single bed and a sofa bed. Each Lagoon bure has a private over water balcony. These bures feature a breakfast bar which contains a toaster, crockery and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facilities and iPod docking station. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 3 adults and children - Children under 5 years not accepted in this room category.

Beachfront Bures: There are 12 Beachfront Bures all with a king-size bed and 1 single bed. Ideally located on the beach, perfect for a romantic holiday. The Beachfront bures features a breakfast bar, which contains a toaster, crockery and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a private verandah with deck furniture and an iPod docking station. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults - Children under 15 years are not accepted in this category.

Armstrong Villas: The Armstrong Villas are nestled around the edge of the newly developed Armstrong Islands and feature 10 villas each with two identical bedrooms and ensuite. Each villa is air conditioned, with a King Size Bed (unzips to two single beds). Villas feature lounge area with CD Player, TV/VCR, kitchen with 2 gas burner stove & microwave. The lounge area leads onto a large over water balcony. Maximum room capacity is 5 adults. Children under 5 years are not accepted in this room category.

Resort Villas: The resort has six two bedroom two bathroom villas, ideal for large families, with sleeping facilities for up to five people. Each villa has a spa pool and an elevated lanai. Beautifully finished in native wood and have a well equipped kitchen, iPod docking station, Flatscreen TV/DVD and phone. All villas have air-conditioned bedrooms. Maximum room capacity is 6 adults and children.

Dining

Dick's Place Restaurant and Bar: A choice of outstanding dining options snacks are also available at the restaurant from after breakfast through to late afternoon and early dinner. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a tropical ambience by friendly, helpful waiting staff. The choice of dining options includes an extensive a la carte menu, daily blackboard specials, or table d'hote menu. Dick's Place is fully licensed, it's extensive menu complimented by a choice of fine wines from around the world, exotic cocktails, beers and soft drinks. On some nights local themes headline the menu - "Pig on the Spit", "Indian Curry" and "Island Stir Fry ". For children 12 years and under there is a special menu in the restaurant between 5.30pm - 7.30pm. Children under 12 dining with parents from the main menu are half price. Guests have the choice of dining inside the restaurant or enjoying alfresco style outdoor dining at tables on the terraces under the stars.

Marina Coffee Cove: is a relaxing coffee shop serving snacks, child's portions, lunch, morning and afternoon teas. It is located on the veranda of The Trader Supermarket. The Marina Coffee Cove is a BYO facility and open daily from 10:00am till 6:00pm.

The Trader: The Trader" offers a complete range of goods to satisfy those who wish to cook a full gourmet meal or merely prepare a snack. Fresh fruit and vegetables are stocked daily, fresh bread, milk and eggs are also available. There is a good selection of cheese, yoghurt, meat, chicken and frozen foods - a range to suit all tastes. The shelves are stocked with a large variety of tinned products and basic necessities. Cakes, cookies and specialty items are baked daily in our very own bakery. The Trader is open daily from 8:00am till 7:00pm.

The Ratu Nemani Island Bar: Known affectionately by locals and Yachties alike as the $4 bar and linked to the resort by the marina walkway, the Ratu Nemani Island Bar is a sand between the toes beach bar with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Local spirits, beer and wines are at yacht club prices.

* Daily tide times are shown on the daily activity board at the Dock. The bay is tidal and some watersports and boat trips can be affected by the tides. You should consult the Dock Activity Program for operating times. There is deep water for swimming at all tides off the end of Ratu Nemani Island.

Diving

Subsurface Fiji is a professional dive company, a PADI 5 IDC Instructor Development Centre and a member of the Fiji Dive Operators Association. Catering for all ages, novice divers, adventurous and experienced divers, their modern fleet of vessels allow Subsurface divers access to the best dive sites in the area. The range of Dive courses available at Musket Cove range from PADI Junior Open Water Diver (min age 10) through to PADI Assistant Instructor as well as the Bubblemaker program for kids aged 8-12. Also available is instruction in Nitrox (mixed Gas) diving. Whether you just want to try diving for the first time or expand your diving skills we can cater to everyone's needs. We also offer a wide variety of PADI specialty courses. Subsurface feature a range of tanks including Seaquest, Aqualung & Sherwood rental equipment, and along with their professional PADI instructors and PADI Divemasters offer exceptional service and Dive experiences.

Day Spa

Mandara Spa: Offering treatments ranging from facials to body massage and body cleansing, Musket Cove's Mandara Spa also offers hairdressing, pedicures and waxing treatments. Bridal treatments and make-up is a special feature. Musket Cove's Spa village has 2 single treatment rooms, 2 double treatment rooms and an open air massage bure.

Golf

Enjoy a few rounds of golf at the neighbouring Fiji Style' Golf course. The 9 hole course, designed and built by the winner of the Nadi Open 1996, Ananda Madhwan is a fun way to spend an afternoon. Clubs and Club Car hire are available.

Weddings

Musket Cove offers a wedding co-ordinator service to help you plan every details of your special day. Choice of location for the wedding ceremony...in the gardens, at sunset on Ratu Nemani or Smith Island, at the marina, on the jetty, on a yacht, or anywhere on or about the resort that appeals. Whether you have a wedding party of two or one hundred, a choice of catering arrangements and locations is on offer. There's silver table service under the stars, on the terrace or in the garden beside the restaurant, Dick's Place. Complimentary floral decoration of the ceremony area and use of the Ratu Nemani Island bar as a function venue is available. All weddings performed in Fiji are legally binding and marriage licences are easily arranged.

Additional Information

Children: For the Garden Bure and Resort Villa children aged 15 years and under are free of charge. For the Lagoon Bure and Armstrong Villa children aged 5-15 years are free of charge - children aged 4 and under are not accommodated in these room types.
