This superb resort is located on the northern island of Taveuni, (The Garden Island), an easy 90 minute flight from Nadi. Nestled in 7 acres of beautifully landscaped flower gardens, bordered by white sandy beaches, Taveuni Island Resort offers spectacular panoramic views of the Ocean - Somosomo Straits.

This Fiji accommodation has 12 beautifully appointed bures accommodating just 28 guests at one given time. There is 1 Luxury Oceanview Villa, 10 Luxury Oceanview Bures, and 1 Luxury Oceanview Duplex. All accommodation types are incredibly romantic and perfect for honeymooners or couples wishing to celebrate a special occasion or enjoy a romantic interlude.

The diving on Taveuni is exceptional. Wake in the morning and stroll down to the pure, crystalline water for the first snorkel of the day or take a rainforest or waterfall walk before breakfast and a morning massage.

Taveuni Resort is not a 'disco-wild-night-life' island. It's a large, tropical island with lush rainforests and 140 waterfalls and streams. (It's where the second Blue Lagoon movie was made and you can walk there to swim and play in two waterfalls). There are around 25 staff members at the resort to care for guests, and they are part of the island 'family'.

1 Luxury Oceanview Duplex Bure: Senibua - Vaivai & Bua
The Luxury Duplex Bure has beautiful views of the ocean. Ensuite bedroom with its own lounge area on a split level and own private outdoor courtyard shower. The Luxury Duplex Bure shares a beautiful swimming pool and a huge covered deck. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.

10 Luxury Oceanview Bures: Niusawa, Balabala, Nokonoko,Veidomoni, Lomalagi, Senimoli, Seniuci, Mokosoi, Senitoa & Sacasaca.
All Luxury Oceanfront Bures have spectacular views of the Somosomo Straits. Veidomoni sits right on the edge of the cliff-top where the resort, the reef and the garden romantically blend. Veidomoni has a separate lounge area with a day bed from the bedroom on a split level, an indoor as well as a private outdoor courtyard shower and a huge covered deck. Lomalagi also has a separate lounge area from the bedroom with a covered deck, indoor shower with a bath tub and a private outdoor courtyard shower. Niusawa, Balabala and Nokonoko have separate spacious lounge and bedroom area on a split level, indoor and private outdoor courtyard shower, and a huge covered deck. Senimoli, Seniuci, Mokosoi, Senitoa and Sacasaca all have en-suite bedrooms with both an indoor and a private outdoor courtyard shower, a spacious lounge area with a day-bed and huge covered decks. 1 Luxury Oceanview Villa: Matalau - Sekoula & Cevuga
This Luxury Villa is situated on one side of the property for privacy. In addition to the panoramic view over the Somosomo Strait, there is a private path down the cliff to a beautiful secluded white sand bay where perfumed vutu trees overhang the aqua water. A perfect romantic getaway. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults.

Dining

In keeping with the ambience of the resort, dining is intimate and charming on The Deck. Gourmet chefs prepare Fijian, Indian and continental dishes garnished with organically grown salads, herbs and vegetables. The resort has a good wine cellar filled with New Zealand and Australian wines.

Guests dine together on "The Deck" where they can feast their eyes on breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean no matter what kind of feast the resort chef has prepared. Evening meals feature tables bedecked with Taveuni's exquisite flowers and lit by candles. Couples may arrange for a romantic dinner for two, complete with private waiter and musician.

Activities

Taveuni is a tropical island ideal for nature lovers and divers alike. For guests wishing to explore the island, a variety of tours and activities are offered. Diving near Taveuni is also exceptional as the reefs in the Somosomo Straits abound with a variety and diversity of marine life. Diving is available through Swiss Fiji Divers organised at the resort.

Activities Include: Explore beautiful Heritage Park and see Bouma Waterfall Lavena Walk, an adventure walk which was the location of the second Blue Lagoon movie Waterslide, a natural rock slide set in the tropical bush, fun for swimming Bird Watching Kayaks area available at the resort and are free Tour the Island, meet friendly local Fijians, visit the ruins of an old Catholic Mission Adam and Eve Picnics, for honeymoon couples wanting a romantic private picnic on their own Meke Nights, once a week the resort has a Fijian Night Massage, the resort has two profession masseuses.

Be married amidst gardens ablaze with tropical flowers or at sunset on the decks overlooking crystalline waters and softly swaying palms or on the white sandy beach under the tropical sun. Loloma Wedding Package: registration fee transport to/from Registration Office Minister/Marriage Officer Floral decorations for open-air wedding on the beach or decks overlooking the ocean single tier wedding cake option of warriors to escort the bride champagne breakfast in the Lagoon Bure or own deck - weather permitting.
